Last night was Day #2 of Augusta's own Poison Peach Film Festival, featuring films (both shorts and features) by Southeastern (U.S.A.) filmmakers, mostly from the Augusta GA region. There was an announcement that the Augusta chapter of the Southeastern Filmmakers Guild (I think that's the name) meets downtown every third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. I want to go to one of these meetings with my screenplay synopses; I just have to check all my backed up files to see which screenplays survived the loss of my desktop and first external hard drive. Some of them are old enough to be backed up on 3.5 diskettes, and fortunately for me, I have an external drive for those. So even if I don't have the old screenplays on a flash drive or the laptop or my new external hard drive, there's still a chance I've got them somewhere. I haven't finished/published a novel in years, and my plans of doing a web comic were doomed before I even began, but maybe these film-making meetings can help me get one of my screenplays produced. There's not much money in these indie movies, but it's something on my resume. The next meeting is the 1/19/2016, so I'll try to go to that. I'll keep y'all posted.

Right around the time I was saying I had no New Year's Resolutions for 2016, it occurred to me that I'd lost a LOT of the writing done between 2012-14. I was going through my old idea books, seeing all these finished story titles, wondering what the hell THAT was all about. So I decided to make a resolution to rewrite everything I'd lost from scratch. Sadly. my brain kept drawing blanks. Then I checked this blog's archive from the year 2013. So much of it had been posted here. I was so relieved, I decided not to keep that resolution... (I usually don't keep them anyway, but this was a huge relief.)
