Wearing out the conscious voice and writing while tired has always worked for me. I've been staying up late this week. I think tonight, I'm going to use that up-late time to write something... ANYTHING. I had an idea for a new story, but I seem to have forgotten it. Not to worry, though... Over the past two years, I've scribbled down enough story ideas to keep me busy a while, provided I actually kickstart my ass into gear and WRITE. Like I said in my blog comment, even though I've never been much of a night owl, my muse is. I think I'm going to reward her for all her years of productivity... until I became heavily medicated, anyway. Now I need to apologize for keeping her muffled for so long. I just hope she doesn't ignore me out of spite. That would certainly be disappointing.
Kristen Lamb, author of We Are Not Alone, is hosting a contest on her blog (http://warriorwriters.wordpress.com) during March. The winner gets a critique of either a query letter or 20 pages of a novel manuscript. I could use all the help I can get, so I'm trying for it.
