I needed to go to Wal-Mart for some groceries yesterday, and bought something called Rory's Story Cubes. From the package: "9 cubes, 54 images, 10,000,000+ combinations, infinite stories!" I thought, Infinite stories, huh? I'd settle for enough to submit to some different contests. I picked them up for $7.88, which is slightly cheaper than Target's price, but a little more than Amazon's if I were to get a $25+ order with FREE Super Saver Shipping... which I did not want to do. I spent too much money at Wal-Mart, but I got the Story Cubes and can't wait to try them out!
Also in the story-related game category, I went to a giant church yard sale Saturday and found a deck of Wishbone cards for 50 cents. I don't know if I could use those as a tool for creative inspiration, but for 50 cents, why not? I loved that show, after all.
And now I'm off to read the Story Cubes instructions, and maybe get some writing inspiration!
