11. EDIT. I have so many novels I'd finished writing, but left sitting without being edited. Last year I edited and submitted two novels, Relic and Flashing Lights, so I'm fairly certain those two are "finished," but over the past 16 years I'd written several novels, so I need to get them ready for publication, even if I just submit the two I edited in 2011 this year.
12. Write query letters for the finished novels, which goes along with the goal of finding a literary agent. I suppose both of these goals go along with that, actually. Anyway, I haven't perfected the art of writing queries, so it's something I need to work on in the new year. The literary agents guide I have has a special chapter on queries, book proposals, and synopses that I really need to study. I think I'll do that today and write a query for my #W(P500 today (I doubt this blog is 500 words).
So that's 12 writing goals for 2012, which is an even better number than 10, given the year!
