I will, however, mention here that I discovered a new contest today, courtesy of fellow writer Jessica McHugh. Ezine Short, Fast, & Deadly has a regular themed issue, and the March issue's theme is Facebook. Submissions are open until February 1st, and each email should contain between 3 and 5 short works. I have four or five Facebook-related stories that I could use. The catch is that each one has to be no more than 420 characters. I managed to edit each story down to a linear narrative of the acceptable length, so I think they might work. I'm not sure if they'd think these stories are "Damn good," as they demand, but I'll still submit them.
In other writing-related news, I haven't been faring well with WIP500 this week. The <420-character stories (five of them) totaled to 332 words, which I will count due to the major rewrites and edits required to make them fit the guidelines. I also wrote the 30-word story, and am writing this blog, so I may be caught up already. *
