I've been assured that both a book trailer and the paperback are forthcoming soon; hopefully before Halloween. Speaking of which, I need a new trailer for Halloween Tales, which is part of a Halloween fest giveaway on the blog Immortyl Revolution, here: http://www.immortylrevolution.blogspot.com/2012/10/roy-hudson.html?zx=9494c90b2dd3f1c7 .
I sort of started work on a new novel. At least, it has the potential to become a new novel. I wrote a story years ago called "Change for a Dollar," about a less-than-scrupulous freelance insurance investigator who gets involved in a case of sex, car theft, armed robbery, and murder, with a little revenge thrown in. I thought he'd make a great narrator for a novel about a slightly crooked detective. I can include "Change for a Dollar" as an early chapter.
For the beginning of the novel, I wrote a dirty limerick, followed by the line, "Most people would see the above as just a dirty limerick, but to me, that describes my first case as an investigator." I thought it sounded cool, and I've always wanted to do an homage to noir-style detective fiction. I started a few in the past, but never finished any of them, which is too bad. I suppose I could combine this one with one of the unfinished ones... In fact, that's a good idea.
