So far, I only have a vague idea of what's to happen in this chapter... but writing a horror novel is often just as surprising to the author as it is to the reader! I'm looking forward to the rest of this adventure, despite what nastiness it might bring for my characters. (At its core, it's a revenge story in the vein of Poe's "Cask of Amontillado," so you can BET my protagonist is going to make all sorts of trouble for his enemies. Plus, I incorporate zombies at some point. Revenge horror a la Poe + Zombies = EPIC! ...Not literally an epic in the poetic sense, but slang happens.)
Since I decided to bail on the pressure cooker that is NaNoWriMo, I've made more progress today than I had the previous 5 days. I copied down the end of Chapter 2 into my notebook, as well as the opener to Chapter 3, and even added some Chapter 3 details on top of that. It might be a total of only 1000 words, but like I said, it's the most progress in 5 days! Unfortunately, I can't write much more than that today (or tomorrow) because I'll be too busy with MATH homework. Curse you, Math! But maybe tomorrow night after all that crap has been submitted, and then on Wednesday, I can wrap up Chapter 3.
