The Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen books (or series) who've influenced you and will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes.
1. The Terminal Man, by Michael Crichton (The novel that made me want to be a novelist.)
2. Creative Visualization, by Shakti Gawain (Self-help that opened my eyes about creativity.)
3. The Urban Primitive, by Raven Kaldery, et al (Research for a YA novel I haven't started yet... but it's all researched and ready to go!)
4. Vampires: The Occult Truth, by Konstantinos (Inspiration behind The Odic Touch.)
5. IT, by Stephen King (Introduced me to a love of horror novels.)
6. The Tao of Writing, by Ralph L. Wahlstrom (Loaded with creative activities to help fight writer's block.)
7. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Creating a Graphic Novel, by Nat Gertler & Steve Lieber (I never finished it, but the script layout will stick with me. I already started a graphic novel script I want to do!)
8. Tarot for Writers, by Corrine Kenner (Introduced me to a brainstorming technique, as well as ways to help my career move forward, from "the other side.")
9. The Graveyard Book, by Neil Gaiman (Not really inspiration, but it was my introduction to Neil Gaiman. I love him now.)
10. The Bunnicula series, by James Howe (Proof that adults can enjoy kids' books just as easily as kids.)
11. The Wish Giver, by Bill Brittain (My favorite book from my childhood. I still have a copy!)
12. Night Shift, by Stephen King (This helped me hone my short story abilities.)
13. Something Wicked This Way Comes, & From The Dust Returned, both by Ray Bradbury (They really complement one another and helped my writer's self-esteem after it was torn down by Ray's Zen in the Art of Writing.)
14. The Writing Diet, & The Artist's Way, both by Julia Cameron (Same directions, different prospective outcomes.)
15. Songs of the Doomed by Hunter S. Thompson, & The Joke's Over by Ralph Steadman (They're both about HST, so why not?)
That's the list meme I filled out. Below is the other picture. That's really all I have to add for now.
