"The Green Man," By Roy Hudson
It happened at Pagan Pride. Keith liked, bought the pendant. Twas called, “The Green Man.” Twas supposed to represent resurrection. Great story idea, he thought.
When Keith died, Candace mourned. Keith’s sister loved him dearly. Wiccan Esmerelda came with warnings. “Let me take the pendant. It’ll resurrect him come Spring.”
Candace thought this was ridiculous. “Remove it from his corpse? No; they’ll be buried together. Witches can’t rob Keith’s body. No chance in Hell, bitch.”
The witch returned March first. She dug, opened Keith’s casket. Candace arrived at the cemetery. There was a struggle, gunfire. Dying, Esmerelda swallowed Keith’s pendant.
Candace screamed, fearing the worst. Could it really revive corpses? She didn’t wait to see. Crying, Candace shot herself dead. Upon her return, Esmerelda smiled.
