I also got a great birthday haul this year. My mom paid to have my grandfather's watch fixed for me. And my sweetie sent me two VHS tapes of Steel, which isn't on DVD, and Matinee, which is just plain hard to find on DVD. She also sent me a 2nd & Charles gift card, of which I used all but $2.38.
Most of them are comic collections, but there were two novels (each from a different series; George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones, and a Kinky Friedman novel whose name I forget at the moment), two graphic novels (Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century, vol. 1 and 3), one overcoming-writer's-block book, one Batman comic book (a free preview of Earth 2 that I picked up at Book Exchange yesterday) and two short story collections by Robert E. Howard. I've already read two of the comics (Century-1910; and Play Ball, Snoopy) and am working on a third, but I can't wait to read the rest!
